About Us
Jeff and I have known each other since the 7th grade. We met in second period wood-shop class. At this point in life we were very good friends and developed unsaid crushes on each other (this information was disclosed much later down the road). It wasn't until the summer before we started college where we officially started dating. We're going on 7 years. He proposed on June 30th, 2007, and the wedding is set for July 7th, 2009.
We're both graphic designers, its a curse and a blessing at the same time. Fortunately being a graphic designer is more of a blessing. We're foodies, wander-lustful, and are completely in love with the city we live in (San Francisco). We share similar passions in art, design, photography, paper, and all things tactile.
Before our engagement photos we never really had any decent pictures with the two of us. We're super picky and no quick snap from a digital camera ever really captured us, our style, or anything about us. We'll always love photo-booths though, they're some of the best photographers we've ever had.
The Rough Details
We've decided to keep our wedding date as close to our original anniversary date as possible which is July 3rd. Its easier to remember and we like celebrating in the summer!
July 7th, 2009: Lanikuhonua Phase II, Ko' Olina, Oahu
Photos below L-R: Lani phase II, A short walk with Evonne (our WC) to check out the Ihilani, Lani phase II
We reserved our date exactly 14 months ahead without seeing the site in person. I only saw Lanikuhonua from professional photographer's photos but I knew from images alone that this was the place for us, especially with the price tag attached to it, as beautiful as it is--it is still quite affordable. When we finally saw the site Jeff was in awe and couldn't be any happier that this was the place we were getting married.
Price Tag: $1500 minimum + $250 parking security + $82.46 tax = $1832.46
*Note: in order to hold the party & serve alcohol we've added the extra insurance for $82.44
Grand Total: $1914.90
